Main Application
The full application is in two parts;
Part A - This should be submitted
online and is available from the www.eugrants.org
web site
This application form contains information which all
EU grants applicant must complete.
Part B - The second part of the main
application (Part B) can only be accessed after completing
and submitting Part A.
Part B can be obtained from this web
site (links below) or directly from the CARD
offices (if you do not have access to a computer).
This application is unique to the NI LEADER+ Programme
and contains information specific to your project.
When completed, this part of the application should
be forwarded directly to the CARD
office.

Processing the Application
When both parts of the application have been received
by CARD an initial eligibility check will be undertaken.
CARD will also liase with other funding bodies to ensure
that there is no duplication, and also that LEADER+
is the most appropriate funding source for the project.
A recommendation will then be made to the CARD board
who will make the final decision on whether funding
is approved.

Letter of Offer
At this stage the applicant will be informed of the
board’s decision. This will take place either
in the form of a ‘letter of offer’ or the
reasons for the rejection provided.
Time-scale
To enable us to administer the grants most effectively
CARD has decided to open the programme through several
tranches. That is, there will be a deadline for completed
applications within a certain period. Only applications
received before this deadline will be assessed for that
given period (see notice board for regular updates).
We hope to have a decision to all applicants within
a three-month period.
Monitoring & Evaluation
All project promoters will be open to inspection from
local, national, or EU level departmental personnel
after their final payment is made. This is to ensure
that promoters have fulfilled all the necessary requirements
and to assess the impact of projects in terms of targets
achieved as were outlined in original application.
